Do you remember back in the old days when you had to use a video camera to record guests at outdoor events? That is so 2015! Now, you can use drones during your outdoor events. The question is, when should you use a drone?
To Drone or Not to Drone?
If you have a special outdoor event that requires photo or video, then it’s the perfect event for a drone. Common events include weddings, family gatherings, and company picnics. Basically, if there will be a large group of people and you want to commemorate it with some photos or videos, drones will provide you with a fun aerial perspective that you can’t get with your standard digital camera on the ground.
On the other hand, if you’re going to a movie with your girlfriend, you can probably leave the drone at home. She might be a little creeped out if she sees it poking over her shoulder when she reaches for some popcorn. As you can see, there is a time and a place for drones. Large outdoor events are the perfect time and place. Small indoor gatherings are not.
Other Reasons to Use a Drone
Don’t just use a drone because you want to commemorate something today. You can also use a drone because you want to have something to share with others tomorrow. Images from drones make great marketing materials. If you want to promote future outdoor events, use drones to gather up the images or videos that you need, and then distribute them later.
Outdoor events are a great reason to use a drone. However, you don’t want to be bogged down with flying it while tending to your guests. Let our team at High Eye Aerial Imaging take the pilot’s seat, so you can handle the event, and then enjoy the images afterward!
